Kevin and Addie were in Pastis, a French restaurant in New York City, on March 28, 2022, when he surprised her with a memorable and romantic proposal. Kevin proposed with this lovely ring that has a 2.50-carat pear-shaped solitaire diamond secured with 3-prongs and set on a yellow gold band.
The combination of the pear-shaped diamond and its solitaire setting makes it the main focus of the ring. The setting also makes it appear larger on the finger.
Kevin celebrated their engagement by posting it on his Instagram, captioned with “Folks… she said yes!”

We spoke with Benjamin Khordipour, G.D., the jewelry specialist of NYC’s Estate Diamond Jewelry, who holds advanced degrees from the Gemological Institute of America and Gübelin, to discuss the ring. He placed its value at $150,000.
The ring’s 2.5-carat diamond is a clear winner with its high quality. Its design is simple and elegant, matching closely with the yellow gold band.
Kevin and Addie’s Relationship Timeline
Before Kevin met Addie, he was in a relationship with Alessandra Young. They married in 2006 but later separated in December 2012. The local law offices finalized their divorce in 2018. He was also in a brief romance with actress Whitney Rice from 2018 to 2020.
Known for being discreet and private, Kevin’s love story with Addie wasn’t super public in the beginning. However, they went Instagram official when he posted a photo of them on Instagram on October 19, 2020. Kevin was holding a pumpkin and posing with Addie, captioning it “After the hunt.”
However, their first public appearance together was at the February 2022 red carpet premiere of his Hulu limited series show, The Dropout. The following month, Kevin knew she was the one, and made the move to propose to her during an intimate dinner date.
Kevin then popped the question to Addie during their dinner date at Pastis, a Manhattan restaurant in the West Village on March 28, 2022.

Kevin and Addie tied the knot in just over a year after they got engaged, on April 15, 2023. He shared an Instagram photo of him, Addie, and his father with the caption “Did I mention I got married this weekend?”
The wedding was an intimate, romantic outdoor wedding at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens, one of the top Nashville wedding venues. Kevin was handsome in his navy-blue suit with a light blue undershirt, black bow tie, and flowers on his lapel. Addie carried a bouquet of white roses and wore a lovely sweetheart-necklined, strapless, sleeveless white wedding gown.

Kevin Sussman trained as an actor under Uta Hagen, a German-American actress and theater practitioner. He worked on a few commercials before making his acting debut on Law & Order. He then went on to play a part in Ghost Stories in 1998 and made his film debut in 1999’s Liberty Heights, a comedy-drama which received positive reviews. Next, he had minor roles in Third Watch, ER, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and The Sopranos. He played Walter on Ugly Betty from 2006-2007 and had significant roles on My Name Is Earl, The Middleman, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. His most notable part, however, was as recurring character Stuart Bloom on The Big Bang Theory, where he went on to be a series regular until the show ended in 2019.
