Angelina Pivarnick of MTV’s reality shows Jersey Shore and Jersey Shore: Family Vacation gets a second chance in love! She got engaged again six months after her divorce. Her co-star Vinny Tortorella proposed to her in November 2022, with a beautiful engagement ring on TV.

Angelina Pivarnick’s Engagement Ring
Angelina Pivarnick’s second chance at love is her co-star Vinny Tortorella, who proposed to her in November 2022. It was in an episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and it aired on April 27, 2023.
The whole Jersey Shore gang just celebrated Angelina’s divorce the day before.
They were in a restaurant in New Orleans the next night, celebrating the other, original Vinny’s (Vinny Guadagnino) birthday, when Vinny asked Angelina to stand in front of her. He asked for her hand, and the whole group started going crazy for what (they knew) was going to happen! Soon, the whole restaurant was also cheering on the couple.
During that dinner party, Vinny gave a speech about his warm welcome into the group. He proposed a toast as an intro, leading to his proposal to Angelina.
Vinny “2.0” promised Angelina his love and commitment, saying, “I want to grow old with you. I want to experience everything with you. I wouldn’t want to experience it with anyone else. Together, as one, my best friend. I love you so much, I just wanted to give you something. I love you, and I hope that you’ll marry me.”
Vinny got down on one knee and proposed with a lovely ring that features a sizable 3-carat, emerald-cut diamond with a 4-prong setting on a platinum band.
The Jersey Shore gang and the crowd in the restaurant cheered on the couple’s engagement. And yes, Mike “The Situation” and even Snooki were there, and they were super happy for them.
As for original Vinny, he was at a loss for words, but nonetheless happy for the couple, however, it all had to happen on his birthday.
How Much Is Her Ring Worth?
Our phone conversation with Benjamin Khordipour G.D., the Gemological Institute of America-certified gemologist and jewelry specialist of NYC’s Estate Diamond Jewelry, gave us more details about the ring. He placed its value at $100,000.
The high-quality 3-carat emerald-cut diamond and its platinum band setting with 4 prongs are simple and elegant, but commands enough value to reach this whopping amount.
An emerald-cut diamond is a very popular diamond cut format for engagement rings. The elongated rectangular shape has cropped corners, often trimmed to prevent fractures and add stability to the stone.
These cuts are sometimes more square-shaped than rectangular. It gives exceptional colored and white light reflections. Emerald cuts look even bigger than other diamond cuts of the same carat weight.
However, unlike oval and round cuts, they will show the slightest clarity and color imperfections. The top surface is as clear as a window, showing any imperfection or inclusion in the middle of the stone. Its large surface, or table, and step cuts are more reflective.
Vinny 2.0 and Angelina’s Love Story Unfolding on TV
Vinny and Angelina’s love story was fast and intense. The sweet couple fell fast in love, and he proposed only a month after dating. They met after the show introduced Vinny on episode 11.
While fans of the show were quick to judge, the two have actually known each other for a while. Their love developed from the time they were only chatting through DMs on Instagram until they met in real life and started hanging out, and then dated for months.
For fans who were not in the know about the reason for Vinny’s “2.0” nickname, they gave him the nickname to differentiate him from the first OG Vinny of Jersey Shore, Vinny Guadagnino.
While the original Vinny and Angelina did have some on-screen tension and rumored near-romantic developments, they remained friends. Vinny 2.0 was the real boyfriend on and off screen.
Ironically, the New Orleans trip that included the dinner where 2.0 Vinny proposed to her was a planned birthday trip for the original Vinny. Confused yet?
Original Vinny just said in resignation, “There goes my birthday.”
Reactions, Reactions
Some controversy arose from this series of events, too. Angelina just got divorced from ex-hubby Chris Larangeira. They got engaged and got married, but they ended up divorcing only a year after. The law finalized the divorce in the summer of 2022, after which he soon met Vinny 2.0.
The gang even accompanied Angelina the night before, all wearing robes, and doing a burning ritual of things associated with her ex, Chris, including burning down her wedding dress. So it was a complete state of shock for everyone, especially since they just met him!
The Situation himself assessed the moment, saying, “This is a mind-blowing development in the squad. Like, yesterday was the divorce party. You can go straight to a proposal; it’s wild.”
Angelina offered her surprised reaction too, saying, “If you would have told me that I would have my divorce party last night, and now I am engaged officially, I would tell you right now you’re full of dogsh*t! But here I am, engaged, and I’m getting married again.”
Because Angelina got engaged so quickly after her divorce, she received both many positive and negative comments from fans and the press all over. Many were happy for her, some were surprised at the quick turn of events, while others had nothing cool to say.
Still, unfazed, she shared the happy news on Twitter, exclaiming, “Ohhhh yes, guys,” along with some diamond ring emojis.
