The sweethearts’ great wedding at the Plaza Hotel was in the total bill of between $1.5 and $2 million. It was one of Hollywood’s biggest and most opulent weddings and celebrations.
It was so rich that the couple cleverly sold the exclusive wedding photos and rights to first publish in public to OK! Magazine for a very cool $1.4 million.
The reception banquet was a larger-than-life celebration. Among the top entertainers that night was a 40-person Welsh choir with guests Jimmy Buffett and Art Garfunkel.

Michael and Catherine first saw and met each other at the Deauville Film Festival in August 1998. She was promoting “The Mask of Zorro”, and he was on the press junket for “A Perfect Murder”. Their common friend Danny DeVito introduced them to one another.
