“I’ve been calling my boyfriend ‘Husband’ for ten years. ♥️ Now it’s OFFICIAL ♥️,” she enthused on Instagram, sharing photos of their adorable engagement.
David commissioned Brilliant Earth to create this very unique ring, a true testament to their craftsmanship. It features an 11.66-carat, lab-grown, fancy-cut pink pear-shaped diamond, cradled by a 6-point prong and a pear-shaped halo beneath the diamond, in rose gold.
|The ring diameter has a red enamel coating, making this one of the most unique designer pieces.
On their Instagram photos, the lovely couple was having dinner when David proposed to Christian on the night of August 16, 2024. They showed off the very lovely pink diamond in rose gold, and fans all over gushed in admiration.
How Much is Christian Serratos’ Engagement Ring?
Our call with Benjamin Khordipour, from Estate Diamond Jewelry, revealed details about the ring. His professional assessment puts the ring at $16,000.
A few factors add to its total value. First is the rare, almost 12-carat pink lab-grown diamond, then its rose gold composition. The masterful work of the company also adds to this total.
The ring’s nonluxury approach reflects the couple’s simple outlook on life and sustainability, values they share with the Brilliant Earth company.
Speaking with The Knot, Christian shared her thoughts on marriage and life, “We aren’t very traditional people, but being officially married is something we’ve always talked about. I lean very introverted, so I imagine our wedding will be something very deconstructed. Perhaps even Camp.”
David dedicated their engagement photos on Instagram to his significant other, gushing, “I’ve always loved you and I always feel happier and complete when I’m with you and Wolfie!!!! Here’s shouting it out from the rooftops and celebrating our love and continued future 🔥😍🤩✨ I LOVE YOU 💝.”
Christian Serratos and David Boyd, and Their Long-Lasting Love
Christian Serratos, born on September 21, 1990, has had quite a lovely career so far. She first started in the entertainment industry as Suzie Crabgrass in Nickelodeon’s “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.”
At the age of three, she was a competitive figure skater, and almost joined the Olympics at one point. It’s now just a hobby.
At age 7, she joined the Ford Modeling Agency. The hot actress was also an extra on The Drew Carey Show and Coach.
More roles followed, including her breakthrough role as Angela Weber in Twilight, which won her a “Young Supporting Actress” award at the 30th Young Artist Awards in 2009.
She broke further into the mainstream with her role as Rosita Espinosa on the cult zombie horror series, “The Walking Dead” in 2014. Christian also snatched the role of tragic Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, in the Netflix show Selena: The Series, from 2020 to 2021.
Serratos is a vegan and advocates for animal rights. She worked with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Her net worth is around $2 million.
Indie rock fans know singer-songwriter David Boyd, the Danish musician who fronts the band New Politics. They play punk, pop, and electronic rock, and started in Denmark in 2009.
New Politics has 5 albums and a bevy of singles, and an EP so far in their successful career. They’ve also done high-profile tours over the years, including their own headlining ones, and playing with the likes of Thirty Seconds to Mars, Twenty One Pilots, Fall Out Boy, Pink, and The Pretty Reckless.
New Politics were also the openers for the 2014 tour of Paramore and Fall Out Boy, named Monumentour. This turned out to be the most special, especially for David, because this was where he met the love of his life, Christian.
David is also an accomplished breakdancer, with appearances in Steen Koerner productions, and a “post-apocalyptic dance version” of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.
Christian and David are loving parents to their daughter, Wolfgang, and have been together since 2014.
How Christian and David’s Love Story Developed
The lovely couple first met in Atlanta in 2014.
Christian recalls their first meeting, telling The Knot, “David was on tour with Paramore and Fall Out Boy, and I was filming The Walking Dead at the time. I watched his performance, and when I went backstage to say hi to a friend who was on the tour, I was introduced to him. We had our first date the next night and have been together ever since.”
For years, the couple had a somewhat long-distance relationship, but managed to make it work.
Speaking with The Knot, Christian pondered on their relationship over the years, saying, “I realized very early on. We were long-distance for years and had the most fun navigating it, traveling to fun parts of the world or going back and forth from New York City to Atlanta.”
“We were able to see what could have been very tricky as an adventure, which actually speaks more to David’s personality than mine. It’s a quality I love.”
They welcomed their baby daughter, Wolfgang, in 2017, which led to a new chapter in their busy lives as new parents.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Christian gushes about her daughter, saying, ‘She’s a really well-adapted kid. We travel a lot, and I had some concern about that, obviously, because that’s just our lifestyle. But me and David we try not to overanalyze things or guilt ourselves for too much. We both just realized as long as she’s with us, she’s great, and she’s always been great. She’s a really easy kid.”
