Kate’s ring features an 8-carat, cushion-cut solitaire diamond on a thin platinum band.
When it was time, they talked about it on his Life is Short by Justin Long podcast show, finally confirming their engagement on April 4, 2023. In that episode, they discussed going to therapy after experiencing recent issues in their relationship.
The therapy sessions helped them overcome personal issues. Justin then proposed honestly and romantically to her after working out their problems.

One of the price drivers is, of course, that massive 8-carat, cushion-cut diamond. It is also a high-quality diamond in this rare size. It is of simple and elegant composition that matches the hefty price tag.
A cushion-cut diamond at 8 carats is rare and carries heavy dollar signs in the market. Many factors make it a rare event, even as it takes tremendous time to form a high-quality but massive diamond.
They form deep in the earth from 90 to 125 miles deep, and must survive these conditions until reachable enough for harvesting. That, plus the expertise in production, smoothing, and cutting needed to make them the dazzling, brilliant gemstones in their final form.
It can be difficult to grade the clarity level of a cushion-cut diamond; mostly, these gems need a professional appraisal to get their actual clarity level and value. Most gradings are “eye-clean.” Cushion-cut diamonds have a large top surface or table, so this makes it more difficult to determine precisely, even eye-clean clarity levels.
This is the same for determining the precise color in some cushion-cut diamonds. Many gemstones have slight colorations not visible at eye-clean levels. These diamonds are more affordable with slight tints not easily seen.

Justin and Kate’s relationship timeline is a little bit difficult to exactly pinpoint due to their privacy and discreet ways.
