50-Plus Carats of Flawlessness
Nita Ambani is the mother of the groom, Anant Ambani. He is the youngest child of her and hubby Mukesh Ambani, the CEO of Fortune 500 company Reliance Industries. He’s also Asia’s richest person, with over $111 billion in net worth.
The Ambani family celebrated the engagement of their son to his lovely lady, Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Viren Merchant, Encore Healthcare CEO. They organized the most lavish, 3-day pre-wedding celebrations starting on March 1, 2024. They also served a communal dinner for over 51,000 people.
None other than Rihanna performed at the festivities. Other big names such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Kim & Khloe Kardashian, John Cena, Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair & Cherie Blair, Ivanka Trump, and Hillary Clinton were among those in attendance. Justin Bieber and Kay Perry also played special sets in other festivities before the July wedding.
Big family events like these need family members to be at their best. Nita wore some of her most iconic jewelry, including her massive diamond ring dubbed by jewelry influencer Julia Chafe as “The Mirror of Paradise”.

This ring features a 52.58-carat emerald-cut diamond ring with tapered baguette-cut side diamonds crowned on a platinum ring. The diamond is of high and exceptional quality, with a pure D color and flawless internal clarity.
The ring fetched top dollar in a Christie’s action in 2019 and was part of the Mughal Empire’s collection, ‘Maharajas and Mughal Magnificence’. The diamond came from the renowned Golconda diamond mines in India, which operated from the 1500s to 1700s, producing some of the highest-quality diamonds in the world.
Nita wore this massive stunner, combined with an emerald necklace three times the size of the diamond, as a dazzling accompaniment. The reflection of these two mega jewelry pieces can flash dollar signs in the viewers’ eyes.

How Much is Nita Ambani’s Diamond Ring?
The Wedding Scoop called our resource person, lecturer, and author Benjamin Khordipour G.D., the GIA-certified gemologist of NYC’s Estate Diamond Jewelry, regarding this massive antique diamond. He places the total value at more than $6.5 million, now more than the original auction price it went out for in 2019.
Khordipour points out the high quality of the diamond, which came from the renowned Golconda mines, as the number one factor for the millions on its price tag. These mines produced Type IIa or flawless clarity diamonds. These demand the highest prices, as the mines dominated the global markets during their heyday.
