Ralph Lauren’s Masterwork
Ralph Lauren himself offered to design the bridal gown for Priyanka. He also had a hand in their first meeting, when he met the two and invited them to the 2017 Met Gala. There, Nick Jonas first met Priyanka, and he fell head over heels for her.
Priyanka holds the distinction of being one of the only 4 bridal gown owners for whom Ralph has ever made. Only his daughter, daughter-in-law, and niece own original Ralph Lauren creations. Priyanka fell in love at the first sight of the dress’s sketch.

Intricate Dress Details
Ralph collaborated closely with Priyanka on the dress. She requested the words “Hope” and “Compassion” stitched on the dress, as well as a Hindu mantra, “Om Namaha Shivay (O salutations to the auspicious one), and the date of her wedding, “December 1, 2018,” embroidered too.
Priyanka also requested the groom’s full name, Nicholas Jerry Jonas, and her parents’ names, Madhu & Ashok, embroidered on the dress. She also had the word “Family” embroidered on the right sleeve, and “Love” embroidered over her heart using ivory.
Making the dress more sentimental was a piece of lace from Nick’s mom’s wedding dress. Priyanka requested the team to stitch it to the dress, adding history and continuity of bridal heirloom fashion into the future. Her white wedding dress looked great paired with her custom Jimmy Choo heels
“Two” Weddings, One Love
Nick and Priyanka had double wedding celebrations to honor each other’s roots: One traditional Hindu ceremony and one Christian wedding after another happened on December 1, 2018, in Jodhpur, India.
Priyanka chose to hold the wedding ceremonies at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. She also wore different traditional dresses after the main wedding ceremonies.

The couple’s love story actually started from a message on Twitter. Nick sent Priyanka a DM in 2016 about going on a date. The couple met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in 2017 and at the 2017 Met Gala. By 2018, they were in love and introduced each other to their families.
