Sofia knew from the start what she wanted for her wedding, and a few weeks before the wedding, she visited a Chanel store. The blushing bride wore three Chanel dresses for the three main events: the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and the after-party.
The dress Sofia wore at the ceremony had subtle details. It was a lace-embroidered halter gown with a long train. The dress had an embroidered heart to represent the love they share and S&E initials on the inside of the dress, close to Sofia’s heart. She wanted a unique veil, so the creators added resin water droplets that sparkled as she walked down the aisle.

The Ceremony

Sofia walked down the aisle to her favorite song by Stephen Sanchez, “Until I Found You.” The words were changed to her name, and Sofia claimed it was a nice touch by Elliot to do this. Before the wedding, the bride said it was a no-brainer to choose this song for the wedding ceremony. She always wanted to meet the singer. When Sofia got closer to the aisle, she saw Sanchez, later claiming it was such a meaningful wedding gift from Elliot.
The official ceremony was Jewish since Sofia converted, and the couple insisted on a traditional ceremony. Elliot and Sofia were also wed legally in the States, with just family present. At that intimate wedding, they read their vows to one another, saying that only family should witness such moments.
The After-Party
For the wedding after-party, the guests gathered for dinner, drinks, speeches, and music performances. Lionel Richie was the first to perform. She wanted her first dance with Elliot to be to Lionel’s song, “Stuck On You.” However, the proud father also surprised her with another of her favorites: “Hello.”
