The Hot Details on Christina Hendricks’ Engagement Ring and Proposal
Christina and George did something uncommon with their engagement, unlike most celebrities you see on the news. They proposed to each other equally!
“We proposed to each other, and we said yes!!! I will love and care for him forever,” Christina posted on her Instagram on March 10, 2023.
Bianchini proposed with Christina Hendricks’ engagement ring after a year and a half of dating.
Speaking with People in November of that year, she elaborated, “There’s so much pressure on men to do some grand gesture, and they don’t know what’s right or what’s wrong. So we read some articles about people proposing to each other, and we said, ‘Why don’t we do that?'”
She continued, “He went first, and then five or six days later, I did mine. They were both sweet and simple. We both said, ‘Please don’t shoot something out of a rocket. Don’t get an airplane involved.’”
Christina co-hosted and attended the 31st annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on March 12, 2023, in West Hollywood, California, where the ring first made its public appearance.
Christina’s engagement ring is a vintage piece featuring a 4-carat round-cut center diamond with intricate motifs on its pavé platinum band. Its design and composition hearkens back to Edwardian-style antique jewelry.
How Much Is Her Ring Worth?

The price tag? $100,000 or possibly more.
This ring is an antique with very uncommon, intricate old-styled Edwardian motifs on the band and shank. These designs are very hard to come by and are not something you can easily find and purchase.
The intricate work and detailing, plus its pavé band are also of worthy note. These points, as well as its round-cut diamond are its main price drivers.
Round Cut Diamonds
As seen on Christina’s gorgeous ring, round cut diamonds are one of the industry’s sought after gems.
It’s the most famous cut for common and high end jewelry since it’s early 1900s debut. When the diamond industry introduced the Bruting machine near the turn of the century, this made it possible to create round diamond cuts.
The modern round 58-facet cut debuted around 1919. Engineer and diamond cutter Marcel Tolkowsky published a thesis entitled “Diamond Design: A Study of the Reflection and Refraction of Light in Diamond.” His mathematical formula revolutionized the round brilliant cut, ushering in the modern era of diamond cuts.
Round cuts are popular but more expensive, due to the amount of material wasted from cutting a circular shape. However their beauty, versatility, brilliance and light reflection properties are top notch, making them an excellent choice for engagement rings.
Round diamonds are great as the central diamond, and smaller ones are top choice for accent or pave ring diamonds on the shank and around the diameter of the band.
Christina and George’s Adorable Love Story
Christina and George first met at the set of the TV series Good Girls in 2018. Christina played Beth Boland in the comedy drama series while he was the camera operator.
She was previously married to actor Geoffrey Arend. They were together from 2009 until they divorced in 2019.
Christina and George didn’t become close until 2020 when they started dating. They lived in opposite sides of the country, she was in LA, and he in New York. Their favorite midway meetup spot was the lovely city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Their first confirmed public appearance as a couple was in November 2021, when the press spotted them at the Christian Siriano exhibition at Savannah College.
Though they occasionally posted about each other, the lovely sweethearts were a little more discreet than other celebrities, hence, the public and paparazzi often catching up to their lovelife status, until the announcement of their engagement.
Happily Married
Christina and George married in none other than their favorite place, New Orleans, on April 20, 2024. They fell in love with this gorgeous Southern city full of history, beauty, and romance.
The splendid wedding took place at Napoleon House in the French Quarter.
Speaking to People, she talked about how special the city is to both of them, “New Orleans is a place that I always loved to go before I met George, and a place that he always loved to go before he met me.”
They found out that it was one of the many things they loved in common: “And then, when we first started dating or meeting up, because we lived across the country from one another, it was the place in the middle. It just feels like our city together, even though we both loved it individually.”
