1. Black Gothic Wedding Gown

What could be hotter and more lovely than this black gothic wedding gown from Diva Melody? ZZ
This all-black tulle over black satin dress with an adorable sweetheart neckline and off-the-shoulder layered puff sleeves catches everyone’s attention. Slight Boho and Greek wear influences also appear in this dress, smothered by its black allure.
This dress’s A-line skirt features a high cutaway for seductive legs and flowing frill edges on its floor-length hemline and sweep train. The corset-style top features a lace-up back to shape those curves. I recommend this dress for its seductive sophistication and elegant look.
2. Black Gothic Tulle Wedding Dress

Turn heads and create a commanding presence with this dazzling black gothic tulle wedding dress from USA Bridal. Created by Sophia Tolli Bridal, this alluring creation features a combination of off-the-shoulder straps, a dipped sweetheart neckline, and a ball gown style dress. Beautiful black bridal lace adorns the bodice and lower part of the skirt and train. These elements create a lovely, textured black gown that dazzles with deep, dark hues.
3. Black Chiffon, High Slit, Long Sleeve Wedding Dress

There’s a lot to love in this goth black chiffon high-slit long-sleeve from Amazon Fashion: The shoulder brooches, deep V-neckline, deep V backline, draped features, and empire waistline recall the elegance of Greek dresses. The long tassel sleeves and a sexy front cutaway add lovely features to this dress, so you arrive in style, stunningly.
My personal favorites in this dress are the corset curves, adjustable corset back, super long sleeves, and high dress slit. They add seductive touches to the dress while keeping it black as night and just as mysterious and intriguing.
4. Black and Crimson Gothic Wedding Dress

Gothic ball gown wedding dresses are the epitome of style and dark romantic expression. This black and crimson Sam Bridal creation features a round neckline and sleeveless top, paired with a very low backline and corset-style lace-up back. The dress’s mysterious beaded black lace motifs create crested designs on its bodice, crimson tulle fabric skirt, and chapel train. Intrigue and romance follow this very lovely wedding dress.
5. Dark Soul Gothic Wedding Dress

Lovely and bewitching are just two words I can address to describe this cute goth bridal outfit from A Masquerade Costume.
The dress’s off-the-shoulder long tassel sleeves, V-neckline corset top, and A-line floor-length skirt create a graceful, Victorian style-influenced dress that has the best of both worlds. Black lace motifs create dainty surfaces on the lace-up neckline and the shapely A-line skirt. This is a LARPer princess’s or goth bride’s fantasy wedding dress with equal parts Victorian romanticism and modern goth princess vibes.
8. Spiderweb Black Lace Gothic Wedding Dress

What could be more goth couture than spiderweb designs and black lace bridal motifs on a sexy black wedding dress by Polly Couture Boutique? We start its feature rundown with a V neckline and lower V backline, and Illusion gothic lace loose long sleeves. The enigmatic lace textures and pattern motifs envelop the whole dress, flowing down majestically to the layered skirt and chapel train.
The intricate spiderwebs, gothic lace motifs, and supreme black atmosphere of the dress are wedding-aisle worthy and one of my top recommendations. It is the dress for a goth queen bride’s most special day.
9. Black Puffy Bridal Tulle Dress

Instagram-ready gothic gowns already have an X factor appeal from the get-go. This grand goth gown wedding dress by LOVELIULIU66 possesses that unique, captivating look by having a V-neckline and lower V backline with long, decorated illusion lace tulle sleeves.
Rich fabric layers and all-over bridal motif patterns create varying textures and hues. The grand, layered skirt and Cathedral train create depth and mystique with its outer layer of ornamentation. Beautiful monochromatic black and gray hues combine with deep cream underlayers to create an otherworldly bridal visage.
10. Gothic Open Back Wedding Dress

As we progress to our curated list, we find more color variations beyond the black palette. Dresses Dioma has a solid entry here, with deep cream, grays, and flesh colors that merge and beautify this dress.
The deep V-neck, illusion-nude mesh long sleeves, very low backline, and form-hugging trumpet silhouette accent the bride’s body and add seductive flourishes to this very charming number. The extra skin in this dress complements the pale light brown hues and flesh-like color designs with lovely compatibility.
11. Black and Crimson Gothic Ruffles and Lace Wedding Dress

Black and crimson are best friends in goth fashion. Having them in an enchanting off-shoulder, tiered lace dress in this adorable Punk Rave creation elevates this gorgeous, layered piece.
Goth or not, it’s a breathtaking masterpiece of dark romanticism, perfect for your wedding. The Victorian dress style influences and modern gothic chic will please brides who love simple, elegant darkness and exquisite beauty. It’s one of my top personal picks in this curated list
12. Illusion Lace Gothic Black Wedding Dress With Skirt Slit

Hybrid dress styles in this goth black wedding dress by Sweet Caroline work together beautifully, tied together by immaculate black of the highest order. The bodice features a plunging neckline and a strapless top, accompanied by a backless side and beautiful backstraps.
Illusion black lace creates artsy motifs along the decolletage and both arms, with long decorated sleeves full of grace. Its layered black tulle semi ball gown skirt is a beautiful pastiche of textures with a sultry high cutaway for more space for your bride’s legs to stride in style and sexiness.
13. Seductive Gothic Wedding Dress with Corset and Ruffle Skirt
One of my absolute faves in this curated collection. Seductive, slithering, and sensational, this superb gothic wedding dress, personally assembled by model Ura, embodies these descriptions and more.
Dark romanticism and heavy goth chic conspire together in this gorgeous wedding dress, best experienced with matching lovely accessories and accents all throughout. The black laced, sweetheart neckline corset, studded choker necklace, and black lace full sleeves create one of the ultimate gothic dress combinations, full of dark allure. The fashion rundown ends with a cute tiered tulle short skirt and floor-length train with black shining leather knee-length boots.
14. Black Floral Gothic Tulle Wedding Dress

Like other incredible dress selections in this list, hybrid styles and designs work well in the goth wedding dress context, and look amazing in black. This black devout offering from Camilla’s Bridal is one fine example.
This luxury embroidered floral lace wedding dress features an overlay of black lace and bridal embroidery. The illusion lace long sleeves merge with the round neckline and low backline with lovely black leaf and flower motifs. They continue down the embroidered and heavily-textured skirt and sweep train.
15. Black Lace Gothic Wedding Dress with Long Sleeves

Our last entry in this curated collection is Polina Ivanova‘s stunning creation, the Verona gown. It is gothic and grandiose, also alluring and sexy.
The dress’s mermaid silhouette creates sensual curves that highlight the bride’s seductive form. Meanwhile, the low sweetheart neckline, illusion lace long sleeves, and backless side make the dress even extra hot. Black lace adorns the whole dress, creating stunning textures and highlights all over.
Gothic Wedding Gowns and Dresses
Goth’s gloomy subculture and fashion created many impeccable styles and looks since emerging from Britain in the late ’70s. The post-punk era, which followed the initial emergence of punk rock, gave way to many music and fashion movements.
Goth fashion featured all black clothing, leather, dark glasses, accessories, and boots, which became key features of the style, evolving well into the 80s and beyond. Gothic dresses typically feature black, paired with the darkest color palettes that complement it, such as red, crimson, purple, and also silver and grey.
Goth’s dark romanticism and deep poetic lyricism mirrored the music and lifestyles of the youth in those formative eras. The dresses and fashion sense of these post-punk icons also created a new world of alternative fashion and lifestyle.
Artists such as Siouxise and the Banshees, Bauhaus, Joy Division, The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, Xmal Deutschland, Clan of Xymox, Fields of the Nephilim, and countless other amazing artists in the late 70s onwards spearheaded the movement. They influenced the dresses and fashion sense of the early goth and postpunk scenes.
Older Gothic Fashion Influences
One of the major influences of gothic clothing is the dress styles and fashions in the Victorian era of Britain, from the 1830s to the dawn of the 20th century. It was the last older era before the fashion world entered the modern period, which developed prominently during Queen Victoria’s reign.
King Edward VII’s reign from 1901 to 1910 also carried over these styles with increasing modern influences added. Dresses from these two periods featured corset tops, ball gowns, and long, flowing skirts with tiered textures, off-shoulder tops, low backlines, lace fabrics, and black dresses with these fashion features.
Queen Victoria, who was mourning her husband, Prince Albert, who passed away in 1861, popularized the Black Mourning dress style.
The mourning dress has 4 stages. The first phase lasts from 4 to 18 months, with all-black dresses for women and men, followed by Second Mourning, Ordinary Mourning, and Half Mourning. These next phases gradually removed the black colors from their clothing, transitioning to less dark colors.

Well done mate, love the article and the short history at the end that explains the fashion. Goth dresses are beautiful, #13 is amazing!
