The actor, singer, and former Nickelodeon star proposed to her with a beautiful non-diamond ring while on a boating trip in Barcelona, Spain. The designer of the ring, and the exact gem type and carat weight remain unconfirmed by the couple, however.

Halsey and Avan met in Cannes, France, when she played a show there in early 2023. Avan confirmed this during his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
The couple hung out at a local bar where they immediately hit it off, spending 3 weeks together after. They started dating in September of that same year. Paparazzi spotted the hot couple dating in LA, with some PDA, confirming their romance.
They also made an appearance in the Luis De Javier fashion show on October 23, 2023, their first Halloween together. The couple hard-launched their relationship on Instagram a few days later.

Halsey’s music career started through her DIY releases, going through the backdoors of social media. She released her debut EP, Room 93, in 2014.

Halsey’s fiancé, Avan Jogia, is a Canadian director, actor, author, writer, and former Nickelodeon child star. He plays guitar, piano, accordion, and vocals in the band Saint Ivory, with his brother Ketan.
Avan has worked on a number of comedy and action movies, both as an actor and a director. Halsey was a childhood fan of his hit Nickelodeon show, Victorious, where he played Beck Oliver.
From 2006 to 2016, he landed his first big roles on TV and films. Many of his films were comedy, sci-fi, action, and his fair share of occasional drama movies.
He also published a book, Mixed Feelings, in September 2019. It talked about his life experiences growing up with a mixed-race identity. His next book came out in 2025, called Autopsy of an Ex-Teen Heartthrob.
He is also the founder of the LGBT online organization Straight But Not Narrow, which helps with LGBT issues in adults and children.
