2. Emma Slater
Talk about oh so romantic, and a little bit nerve-wracking! When Sasha Farber proposed to Emma Slater in front of a live audience on Dancing with the Stars in October 2016, he did so with a one-of-a-kind sapphire engagement ring!

When French banker Olivier Sarkozy proposed to actress Mary Kate Olsen in February 2014, it was with a gorgeous vintage ring that featured lovely sapphires. This 1953 Cartier ring came from a Sotheby’s auction, which Sarkozy snagged up for a cool $81,250.
Mary Kate’s ring has a bezel-set 4-carat old European cut diamond with a halo of 16 caliber-cut sapphires set on a gold dome mount. Its undergallery has inset diamonds totaling 1.5 carats in the marquise-shaped frames in the basket, with an intricate gold roped band.
4. Elizabeth Taylor
Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor owned some of the most luxurious and beautiful engagement rings. One of them was an exquisite sapphire ring from her beau, English actor Michael Wilding.
Michael proposed to her on February 21, 1952, with a ring that features a massive cabochon sapphire surrounded by a halo of small round diamonds. While they never disclosed the total carat weight, it was a huge gemstone, like many of her opulent rings.

Actress and model Jenny McCarthy said yes to Donnie Wahlberg with a super lovely and unique engagement ring. It features a rare 10-carat yellow sapphire with a halo, undergallery, and an 18k white gold pavé ring of small round diamonds surrounding it all over.

For her 10th ring, it features a massive 19-carat solitaire sapphire gemstone secured in prongs on a thin pave platinum band. It’s also one of the most expensive rings in her collection, estimated at more than $6 million. Shortly after debuting her other opulent ruby ring in May 2009, she followed it up later that year with this other breathtaking stunner of a ring.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have known each other since 1992. They are also one of the most private celebrity couples in the world, and no one knew exactly when they got engaged.

Gwyneth Paltrow belongs to the sapphire ring club of celebrities. This is via her engagement with hubby Brad Falchuk in Italy in 2017. They announced it on January 8, 2018.
The writer, producer, and director proposed to her with a ring that features a colossal 12-carat sapphire prong-set in pave platinum, with inset diamonds all over. Specialists place the value of the ring at $500,000. The two tied the knot on Sept. 29, 2018.
10. Empress Josephine
French General and Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to his beau, Joséphine de Beauharnais, in January 1796. It’s one of the earliest celebrity sapphire engagement rings.
This historical ring features a toi et moi design. It has an oval-shaped sapphire and diamond next to each other, weighing approximately just under 1 carat each. They are prong-set in 18k gold.
The ring is a symbol of forever love through time. Long after they left this earth, the legendary ring sold for $949,000 at the Osenat auction house in France in March 2013.
