After a three-month engagement, Ivanka Trump wed fiancé Jared Kushner at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. She stunned in an elegant custom-made lace Vera Wang gown and wore diamonds from her own jewelry collection. Over 500 guests, including Russell Crowe, Barbara Walters, Natalie Portman, and many other celebrities, attended the wedding.

She served as an executive vice-president of the Trump Organization and was a judge on Donald Trump’s TV show, The Apprentice. Details of Their Relationship
Ivanka and Jared first met in 2007 at a business lunch set up by friends. She told Vogue, “They very innocently set us up thinking that our only interest in one another would be transactional. Whenever we see them, we’re like, ‘The best deal we ever made!’”
Before the couple got engaged, they broke up briefly because of religious differences. Jared’s family is Orthodox Jewish, and religion is important to him. The couple reunited when Ivanka converted to Judaism to be with Jared.
In 2009 Jared proposed to Ivanka with a 5.22-carat diamond ring.
What Did Ivanka’s Wedding Dress Cost?

Custom-made by Vera Wang and inspired by Grace Kelly’s wedding gown, Ivanka’s lace A-line wedding dress was demure, romantic, and majestic. The intricate design consisted of sheer lace sleeves and three different tiers of hand-appliquéd lace colored with various shades of ivory.
Ivanka’s Wedding Dress Designer – Vera Wang
In 1990, Vera Wang started her design salon specializing in bridal gowns in New York. Her label speedily took off, gaining praise from the fashion elite for its exquisite detailing, luxurious fabrics, and modern twist on classic lines. Vera’s created stunning wedding gowns for several celebrities like Mariah Carey, Sharon Stone, Kim Kardashian, Alicia Keys, and more.
Describing how she created Ivanka’s wedding gown, Vera explained that the gown consisted of three different kinds of lace, including Chantilly and Lyon. It has an embroidered bottom layer, with each layer being pieced together by hand, creating a different pattern in the lace. When Ivanka moved, you could see the layers underneath. Vera created Ivanka’s wedding gown within a month.
Ivanka’s Jewelry
Ivanka wore jewelry inspired by art deco from her own collection. This consisted of a platinum-diamond bracelet, platinum mixed-cut diamond earrings, and a platinum-diamond hairpiece which was added to her veil. After the wedding, these pieces were duplicated to be sold publicly.
A Bit About the Wedding
The couple’s wedding invitations were made by the jeweler Tiffany.
The beautiful bride opted for a pair of shoes by Stuart Weitzman to go with her regal dress. And her bouquet was all-white with Madagascar Jasmine flowers, which are rare.
Ivanka’s youngest brother, who was three and a half then, was her ring bearer. Ivanka and Jared’s wedding reception was held in a tent with see-through sides in the middle of a golf course that provided great views of the picturesque scenery of trees and colorful leaves. Ivanka had Preston Bailey – a well sought after wedding planner – design her wedding décor. The table decorations had high and low objects which Preston used to create an idea of movement. The floral arrangements included roses, valley lilies, orchids, hydrangeas, gardenias, and buttercups.
The Cake, the Toasts, and a Cute Gift
The amazing wedding cake by Sylvia Weinstock featured 13 layers and was 70 inches high on the table. Every layer was ringed by flowers, including roses, baby’s breath, lisianthus, peonies, and lilies of the valley. All of which were in creams, pinks, whites, ivory, and flush tones. To satisfy the 500 guests, Sylvia created the cake to suit various tastes, including carrot, almond, chocolate, and yellow cake.
Ivanka’s father, Donald Trump, gave a short toast to the couple, saying, “Be happy and enjoy your life.” Jared’s father‘s toast, on the other hand, brought several people to tears. He said, “Look, everyone thinks she’s great, but being Jewish is just unbelievably important to us, and she’s not Jewish. It’s a problem for me, a genuine problem. Then I watched and got to see she’s in love with my son, and it wasn’t what I thought in the beginning. I feel right about it.”
As a cute wedding gift, all the guests received white flip-flops with ‘Jared and Ivanka’ written on the insoles and a tag with the words, ‘A Great Pair.’ Don’t you just love it!
