“The Hills: New Beginnings” star shared the engagement news with her Instagram followers. The video has the George Straits song, “Amarillo by Morning’’ playing in it.
Kris orchestrated the perfect surprise. While driving down on a rural road, he pulled over and told Kaitlynn that they had “car trouble.” He set up a fake car engine problem out on a country road to set up the proposal.
Kaitlynn went out of the car and noticed the ring as she peered at the engine before Kristopher had a chance to propose. She captioned her Instagram post with: “He got me good” and a diamond ring emoji.
Kristopher went down on one knee and proposed with a bezel-set brilliant round solitaire diamond positioned on a yellow-gold band.
How Much Is the Ring Worth?
Our conversation with Benjamin Khordipour, G.D., the jewelry specialist of NYC’s Estate Diamond Jewelry, disclosed a few more details on the ring. His estimate suggests the actual value could surpass $100,000, especially if the diamond is a high quality gemstone.
The ring features a brilliant round solitaire diamond set in a yellow-gold band with a bezel setting. The inclusion of the yellow gold adds timelessness and warmth to the ring.
As of presstime there are no other available details on the ring. He couple also chose not to disclose any other information on this lovely ring.
A bezel setting is fitted with a claw-like action to ensure the stone is secured in place. As such, the metal covers the entire circumference of the diamond.
The protection offered means the ring is unlikely to suffer any damage from unexpected impacts. Furthermore, this type of setting is quite sleek and gives off a modern look.
There are some disadvantages, however, as less light will reflect from the stone. The reason being, a huge part of the diamond is covered by the bezel. Hence, the option isn’t as revealing as the prong type of ring.
Kristopher Brock and Kaitlynn Carter’s Love Story
Fate would have it that a mutual friend introduced the two sweethearts in 2020. Later, Kaitlynn invited Brock out on a date on May 18. They met for the first time at the Surfrider Hotel Malibu rooftop.
The two began dating in 2020. According to Kaitlynn, her relationship with Kristopher was chill and seamless. In her own words, she claims he was the first adult she ever dated.
Speaking with PEOPLE, Kristopher explained, “When I began dating again, I knew that it was really important to me to find somebody who had the same goals and wanted the same things in life that I did. So, we got to the conversation about having kids and where we stood with all of that very quickly.”
