Mackenzie Drazan’s Engagement Ring from Karl Cook
The top show jumping equestrian and Olympic medalist proposed to her on June 20, 2023, in Cabo, Mexico, where they first met. Less than two years after finalizing his divorce from Kalely Cucoco, Karl Cook announced his engagement on Instagram to his beau, model Mackenzie Drazan.
Karl got on one knee and proposed to Mackenzie with a lovely engagement ring. It featured a large 7-carat oval-shaped solitaire center diamond, in a north-south setting, and crowned on a triple band that had a slight pinch style.
The oval cut creates a large profile on the wearer’s finger, and also produces a lot of shine and sparkle on the diamond.
The couple dated for a year after reconnecting. Karl was determined not to lose her again and decided to put a “ring on it” as per Beyoncé.
Speaking with Over the Moon, Mackenzie recalled, “We didn’t really speak for seven years. And during that time, neither of those relationships worked out. Even though so much time had passed, the second we were back together again in person, everything came right back.”

Mackenzie Drazan is a model, horseback riding enthusiast, and mental health advocate. She is a regular at the Under 25 Grand Prix.
At age 12, during a family vacation in London, agents scouted her for modeling; however, her family declined. Then in 2009, at age 14, agents discovered her for modeling. She also worked and contributed to publication editorials and modeling agencies, including Vogue Girl Korea.
She soon started working with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Celine, Louis Vuitton, Jil Sander, Ralph Lauren, Hermès, Givenchy, Prabal Gurung, and Badgley Mischka.
Mackenzier also also made several editorial appearances on top international magazines, including Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, Vogue Russia, i-D, Numéro France, W, Interview, Dazed & Confused, Stylist France, French Revue de Modes, and Flair Italy.
She also appeared in high fashion videos and film presentations, namely in Dolce & Gabbana: Fall/Winter 2014 Womenswear Collection” (2013), “Givenchy: Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2019 at Paris Fashion Week” and the short video “Prabal Gurung: Spring/Summer 2020 at NYFW.
From 2014 to 2020, she made fewer modeling appearances.
After her sister’s suicide, she co-founded MiResource with Gabriela Asturias in 2017, and Myteam.org, both intended to help spread mental health help and awareness around the globe.
Karl Cook is a prominent equestrian show jumper and Olympian. His dad is billionaire Scott Cook, the founder of Intuit, who created the popular TurboTax software. Many also know Karl as the ex-husband of actress Kaley Cuoco.
Karl also won several different international competitions over the years. He competed in and won the prestigious CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix of Rome, Hampton Classic, and the American Gold Cup.

Love Story and Reconnection
Karl and Mackenzie actually grew up on the same street. Fate soon brought them together due to their equestrian backgrounds. They began dating until Mackenzie left town to pursue college studies.
Karl and Kaley divorced in September 2021. The couple announced that their divorce was amicable. They reportedly were going in separate directions, and after some time, they came to a mutual decision to split for good.
Fast forward to 2022, amidst Karl’s divorce from Kaley Cuoco and Mackenzie’s previous (cancelled) engagement, they met in Cabo, Mexico, at random, seemingly brought together by fate yet again. They soon became official in September of that year, when he posted their trip to Yosemite National Park. Since then, they’ve posted more lovely times together.
Happily Married!
Mackenzie and Karl married on April 20, 2024, exchanging vows under a beautiful white and green arch at Chileno Bay Resort & Residences.
The couple came back to where they first met, in Cabo, Mexico, coming full circle from the first time they ever met and later reconnected. It’s now their dream wedding spot, and they made it into a beachside wedding. She told Over the Moon, “The ocean is my happy place. I love the smell of roses, so getting married on the beach and hearing the waves and smelling the roses, surrounded by the people we love, was pure magic.”
